Foundation’s Mission It is the strong belief of the Walid Joumblatt Foundation for University Studies (WJF) that the processes of construction and development are complex and have a number of important requirements. The pursuit of education and the enrichment of culture are the two most important pillars towards preserving and empowering human capacities for a better investment in the process of development and reconstruction of Lebanon. The WJF has set for itself the prime goal of ensuring the provision of financial and guidance support to students in their quest to attain higher education within the prevailing economic hardships. With increasing numbers of students each academic year, the WJF seeks to meet the pressing needs for assistance by broadening the number of the contributors as well as increasing the number of beneficiaries in various educational institutions. The Foundation also works towards building a network for funding agencies to strengthen cooperation and avoid duplication. |
